Results of the fifth round in the Solway Cup competition, held by the Christchurch Working Men's Clubs (with clubs’ total points in parenthesis) are:—
Richmond A (16) beat Kalapoi B (22), 5-4; Woolston E (24) beat St. Albans (27), 7-2; Woolston A (23) beat Kaiapoi A (13). 8-1; New Brighton B (31) beat Ricearton A (16). 6-3; Hornby A (0) lost by default to Woolston D (18); Woolston B (26) beat Christchurch A (20), 5-4; Woolston C (30) beat Lyttelton B (19). 8-1; Lyttelton A (23) beat New Brighton A (7), 7-2.
