OLD COLLEGIANS’ CRICKET CLUB
Annual Ball Last Evening
The Christ’s College coat of arms featured in the decorations at the Winter Garden for the Old Collegians’ Cricket Club ball, held last \ evening. The club flag hung in the ballroom, and autumntoned flowers, and cartoons depicting cricket scenes, were prominent. Guests were received by the president of the club (Mr J. C. Saunders) and Mrs Saunders. Specially invited guests included the club’s patron (Mr T. W. C. Toth ill) and Mrs Tothill; a life member of the club. Mr E. G. Pidgeon, and Mrs Pidgeon; and representatives of other senior cricket clubs. Mrs Saunders chose a gown of deep water-green duchesse satin, styled with a swathed bodice, with fringed floating panels falling from the side bodice. Mrs Tothill's gown was of black and emerald green brocade, featuring a straight front and back fullness. She teamed her dress with a toning light green stole. Mrs Pidgeon wore a gown cf olive green French brocade embroidered with cream and gold. It was made with a petal bodice, and back skirt fullness. Members of-the ball committee included Mesdames T. D. Gibson, A. B Harman, D. B Hughey. A. R. MacGibbon, M. J. Moffat. J. C Saunders; Messrs P. T. Harman (chairman). B. A. Carpenter. D. J Hill, P. M. Hill, M. J. Moffat, D. R, L. Partridge.
