NEARLY KILLED BY DOG
Attack On Man With One Arm
(NX Press Ann.—Copyright) SYDNEY, May 4. A one-armed, man nearly lost his life on Tuesday when his eight stone dog went beserk and savagely attacked him. The dog, a four-year-old Alsatian named Bomb, was eventually shot after the wounded man had tried to fight off the ferocioua animal for 20 minutes. The victim, Mr Dmytro Denysenko. a Ukraniaa war veteran who lost his right arm during the First World War was attacked by the Alsatian while in the back yard of his home. Mr Denysenko tried to escape but the dog pounced on him and savagely bit him on the neck, chest and arm. His cries for help, and the savage yelps of the dog brought his wife and nextdoor neighbour. Mr Arthur Brown, a Department official, who shot the dog.
