U.S. Interest Sold

General Industries, Ltd., Sydney, has bought the shareholding of Admiral International Corporation of Chicago, in Admiral of Australia (Proprietary), Limited. Consideration for the deal is in cash, with payments to be spread over five years. Admiral of Australia was formed in February, 1955, with capital equally subscribed by Admiral International and General Industries. The managing director of General Industries (Mr J. B. Clarkson) said that the acquisition was “extremely satisfactory.” General Industries would retain its association with Admiral International with a ten-year “know-how” agreement under which it would continue to receive technical assistance on electronics, airconditioning. and refrigeration, he said.
