Decision Later This Month

(N 2 Press Association) AUCKLAND. May 5. The Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan) will make a decision on licensed restaurants towards the end of this month. The president of the Auckland Restaurant Proprietors’ Association (Mr R. J. Patterson) said today that Mr Hanan this week told a deputation from the association and the New Zealand Federation of Restaurant Proprietors that the Cabinet had discussed this clause in the Licensing Amendment Act The deputation discussed with the Minister the delay in implementing the granting of licences for restaurants to serve liquor with meals, Mr Patterson said.
