Rise In Price Of Sugar
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. May 5. As the result of an increase of approximately £3 a ton in world prices for raw sugar since December, the New Zealand Sugar Company has increased the list price of all grades of sugar, golden syrup and treacle by £2 a ton. The new Auckland list price for grade 1A sugar will be £63 10s a ton. including the sugar tax ot £9 6s 8d a ton.
