National Orchestra Travelling Around

(N.Z Press Association) BLENHEIM. May 4. The much - travelled National Orchestra has added another "first” to its record during its visit to Blenheim to accompany the New-Zea-land Opera Company’s performances of “Madam Butterfly." Twenty-six musicians in the orchestra arrived in Blenheim at 5.’25 last evening, played for the performance, and left at 11 p.m. for Wellington so that they could rehearse for coming concert engagements. They will arrive in Blenheim again this afternoon to play at the second night’s opera performance. When it is over, a bus will again be ready to take them to the airport for their return flight to Wellington.
