MIN SCOTT TO SPELL

Min Scott, which is unbeaten in her three starts, will be put aside for a short spell before being prepared for important races in the spring. Min Scott gained her third win at Awapuni last Saturday when she beat the consistent Wairau King by a length and a half in the City Handicap. She took the lead at the end of half a furlong and was not afterwards tested. She won without being asked for a serious effort. Min Scott is a grand type of three-year-old filly by U. Scott from Royal Charge. She is trained at Trentham by J. S. Hunter for Mrs Hunter. Their son, C. S. Hunter, has driven her in her three races. Min Scott is one of the best young trotters ever raced in the lower part of the North Island. She has been a class above her opponents in her three races. The richer company she will encounter from now on should not stop her extending her record early in the new season.
