Arrest Of Nuclear Demonstrators (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 3. The United Kingdom High Commissioner (Sir Francis Cumming-Bruce i has received a telegram of protest from the Wellington branch of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. It reads: “My organisation protests at the attitude of the United Kingdom Government on the question of nuclear disarmament evidenced by the recent mass arrest of demonstrators. “We join those in England who ask the United Kingdom Government to act for a breakthrough in disarmament negotiations by renouncing nuclear weapons.” The telegram was signed by Mr A. Stafford, secretary of the Wellington branch of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.
