Fire-Fighting At Governor’s Bay
Methods of fire-fighting and the supply of water for fire-fighting in the Governor's Bay area were discussed at a public meeting held recently. A report outlining proposals which could be used at once was presented by Mr J. Burrows, a former officer of the Christchurch Fire Brigade. A committee was elected to consider the suggestions. Another committee, elected to inform the Mount Herbert County Council of the Ideas of the meeting, was: chairman, Professor H. W. Rhodes: committee, Messrs J. Burrows, L. Griffen and J. F. Brockhurst.
