Methven Winner Destroyed
Maynooth. impressive winner of a division of the Highbank Handicap at Methven last month, had to be destroyed recently when he injured a leg in a cattle stop. A four-year-old gelding by Flight Commander from Avon Hall, he was a halfbrother to a good winner. Mayneen. He was rac’d and trained at Little River by E. M. Ryan and he was driven in his win, which was at his first start at a totalisator meeting, by M. Purdon.
