Nelson League Decision (N.Z. Press Association) NELSON, May 2. The Nelson Provincial Progress League has decided to support Airlines of New Zealand’s application for extensions of its services. The league has approved Mr F. J Lock as its representative at the meeting At its last meeting the league received a letter from National Airways Corporation stating that, subject to obtaining the approval of the Air Services Licensing Authority a Friendship service was being planned for Christchurch - Nelson - Palmerston North-Auckland and return three days a week, from August 21. This service would operate seven days a week from December 19, 1961, when the full fleet of eight Friendships was in service.
