HOLIDAY MISSION FOR CHILDREN

Methodist Church In New Brighton

For the second time a children’s holiday mission programme will be conducted at the New Brighton Methodist Church by Mr C. Cotton, a member of the parish and a city teacher.

After the successful first programmes two years ago it had been decided to hold a similar mission this year. On the previous occasion more than 120 children had taken part in the 90-minute afternoon sessions, said Mr Cotton yesterday.

The programme, to begin on the first Monday of the school holidays, will consist of two hourly afternoon sessions of games, competitions, treasure hunts, and talks, choruses, Bible readings, serial story readings and film and film strip shows. The activities will be assisted by the Rev. E. Baker and Bible class members of the church.

Children in the district, aged between about five and 12, will be accepted for the course. Arrangements have
