WORKSHOP REHABILITATION

Opening In Auckland IN Z. Press Association; AUCKLAND, May 1. A rehabilitation workshop for disabled persons, which has been financed by voluntary contributions, will be opened in Auckland at the end of the month by the Civilian Maimed Association of New Zealand. It is hoped to establish similar workshops in each of the other three main centres. The secretary of the association (Mrs W. D. Pirrett) said today that help and encouragement had been given by the World Health Organisation. Technical Data

Dr. Howard Rusk, of the Belie Vue Medical Centre. New York, had sent a lot of technical data on the treatment of disabilities. Up to 32 persons Can be trained at a time in the Auckland workshop; Mrs Pirrett said she had sought Government aid from the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Gotz).
