Wool Board Elections
(N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 1. Elections will be held among woolgrowers to fill three vacancies on the New Zealand Wool Board. The vacancies are because of the retirement in August of two woolgrowers' representatives on the board and the recent death of Mr G W Powdrell. The retiring members. Messrs J. Acland, the board chairman, of Geraldine, and A. Briscoe Moore, of Whangarei, are both offering themselves for re-election Members are elected for a two-year term.
Nominations of candidates are now being invited. Every candidate must be nominated by a wooigrower. seconded by another woolgrower, and must accept nomination in writing. A woolgrower is a sheep farmer owning not less than 100 sheep. Nominations close on June 16.
An election of two producers’ representatives on the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board will also be held
Members of the board due to retire are Sir Walter Mulholland, of Darfield. and Mr F. C. Johnstone, of Frankton Junction. Mr Johnstone offers himself for re-election
