AUTHORITY CHAIRMAN
Council’s Two Alternatives (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 1. The Wellington City Council had two alternatives regarding the future of the chairman of the Metropolitan Licensing Authority, Cr. B. L. Dallard. It could either replace him or take no action, said the Mayor of Wellington <Mr F. J. Kitto) after hearing a deputation’s statement of no confidence in Cr. f)allard today. After the deputation, the council decided to seek full information on alleged statements made by Cr. Dallard regarding racial discrimination before considering action at its next meeting.
