There could be an association between the New Zealand Government and private enterprise, including Ansett Transport Industries, in the future development of Tasman Empire Airways, Sir Douglas Copland, adviser of Ansett Industries, said at the week-end. He said the present New Zealand Government was anxious to see rapid development, and it had no foibles about associating a Government enterprise with private enterprise, he said. Sir Douglas Copland, who arrived at Sydney Airport from Auckland after discussion with the New Zealand Government, said that Ansett Transport Industries had an interest in New Zealand Airlines which they were developing. "Boost Tourism” He said that an association between the New Zealand Government and private enterprise in relation to T.E.A.L. would help develop the airline not only in its trans-Tasman air traffic, but also in tourism.
