Skiers rescued.— Mr P. Sprecher, a 51-year-old expert Of Davos Mountain Rescue Service, recently brought down his 1000th injured skier from the mountains in safety. Mr Sprecher, who has been with the Davos service for 25 years, is one of the squad of rescue workers always on call at leading ski resorts who bring injured skiers down to the towns and villages on sleighs.—Davos (Switzerland), Reuter.
