Racing N.Z. Gelding Wins At Rosehill

The New Zealand gelding Revel Victory, which has been in Australia only six weeks, impressively won the Welter Handicap, seven and a half furlongs, at Rosehill yesterday. Heavily backed at 4-1 in a s*rong betting race. Revel Victory beat Man of Iron (9-2) by a length and a quarter. Che Sara (14-1 was a length and a quarter away third. A Kembla Grange Racing Club official, Mr E. M. Fitzgerald. a few weeks ago commissioned the trainer, C. Ryan, to buy a horse in New Zealand. Mr Fitzgerald told Ryan he would like to own a horse capable of winning at Kembla Grange. Ryan said yesterday: "It turns out Revel Victory will be a grade above the Kembla class—l think he will run a mile and a half strongly.’’ Ryan bought three other horses on his New Zealand trip. They were Civie Centre, Shadow Walts and Twickenham. ________
