Able Hanover Wins IHZ Press Association) PALMERSTON NTH.. Apr. 30. Able Hanover led most of the way to score an easy win in the Futurits Stakes, the feature event on the second day of the Manawatu Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday. Able Hanover was not tested in the fun home and beat Russley Song and Southern Smoke impressively. Lorator scored a comfortable win in the Stewards’ Handicap from Cindy Lee and Golden Ego. while Min Scott maintained her unbeaten record when she led all the way to take the City Handicap easily from Wairau King, her only challenger over the final stages Golad recorded a phenomenal performance in winning the Lockwood Handicap. Golad tost at least 100 yards at the Mart but caught the field at the mile. He took the lead with three furlongs to go and won untested from Smoke Concert. Racing was held in fine but cold weather and the track was easy. The winning TA B. double. Lorator and Mta Scott, paid £9 4s 6d for £l. ' The totalisator on-couise handled £27.414 10s.
