IMPOUNDED BICYCLES

(BX Press Association) - WHANGAREI. April 30. Three junior pupils of the Whangarei Girls' High Schooi had their bicycles impounded yesterday by the school for riding three abreast in Water street on their way to school. "They have lost them for the week-end as a disciplinary measure," the head mistress (Miss W. M. Tombs) said this morning. The punishment was in accordance with the school rules, which permitted single file only in the busy traffic streets and no more than double file anywhere else. Miss Tombs said doubling was forbidden.
