STUDENTS OF CANTERBURY AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, Lincoln, are attempting to establish a new bed-pushing record for New Zealand and Australia. A team of 10, pushing the bed in relays of two, began their marathon effort round North Bagley Park on Saturday afternoon. This photograph shows Donald Manson (left) and Alan Frazer (second from left) taking over from Peter Newman (third from left) and Brian Milne. On the right is a lap scorer, John Labes. The bed-pushing craze in New Zealand started last month, when students of Massey Agricultural College pushed a bed 95 times round the Square in Palmerston North—a distance of 57 miles.
