The famous Ngawha hot springs near Kaikohc are to be the subject of a Government investigation which may result in certain patienfs being gnven financial assistace to undergo the spa treatment. assistance to undergo the will shortly send a dermatologist to report on the therapeutic value at the mercurial pools. The Minister of Health (Mr Shelton) says the question of assistance will depend on whether the waters at Ngawha are proved to be more effective than orthodox treatment
Recently' the Health Department agreed to send war pensioners suffering from rheumatoid and skin ailments to Ngawha if this treatment was recommended by a specialist.
