MINOR FIRES
A small fire in a wall of a house at 112 Tennyson street, owned by Norman Lewis Lingari. was extinguished by a unit of the Sydenham Brigade at 7.1 a.m. yesterday. A fire in a heap of straw on the property of the Ministry of Works at 34 Hansons lane, Upper Riccarton. was attended by a unit of the Sockburn brigade at 3.37 p.m. yesterday.
