“Little Effect From TV* (N.Z. Pres* Association) WANGANUI. April 30 “We are living in a world of continual change, but nothing has happened to undermine the status and importance of the printing industry." said Mr R E. Worts, of Wellington, in his presidential address at the annual conference of the Federation of Master Printers of NeW Zealand in Wanganui on Saturday. “Soon, apparently, we are to have television in our country." he said, "but, if overseas experience is any guide, there will be little, it any, slackening of the demand for the printed word as a result of the introduction of this new medium of communication.

“Only the printed work,” said Mr Worts, “can leave a permanent record in thousands, even millions, of copies.”
