DRAPERY SHOP RANSACKED
Stock was strewn on the floor of the Bower drapery shop, in Bower avenue, by intruders on Thursday night. The shop is owned by Miss E. S. Luscombe, who was called there by the police early yesterday morning. As well as ransacking the shop, intruders stole several men’s shirts and jerseys. The thieves gained entry by smashing a back window The police were notified at 4.30 a.m.
An attempt to enter Andy’s fruit shop next door failed because of an iron grille over the windows.
