Survey Of Romneys

A special committee has been set up to direct an intensive survey of New Zealand Romney Marsh sheep flocks. The survey, which is being financed and directed by the New Zealand Romney Marsh Sheep Breeders' Association, the New Zealand Meat Producers Board, and the New Zealand Wool Board, will cover diseases, fertility, nutrition and management of pedigree flocks. The Romney Marsh survey committee consists of Mr B. S. Trolove a member of the Wool Board, who Is chairman. Mr J. R. Matthews, president of the New Zealand Romney March Association, Mr J. G. Donald, a councillor of the association, and Mr F. C. Johnstone, a member of the Meat Board. The secretary of the committee is Mr W. B. Taylor. The survey will have its veterinary and field headquarters at Folding.
