The' Australian jockey, W. ■Williamson, rode the 25/1 chance Time Greine into third place in the first classic of the British racing season, the Two Thousand Guineas, at Newmarket today. The surprise winner was the 66/1 Rockavon, trained in Scotland by George Boyd, and ridden by Norman Stir. The owner is Mr T. Yuill. Second in a photo finlA was Prince Tudor, also at 66/1. The beaten favourite was Pinturischio. The winning horse was bred from Rockefella and Cosmetic. Mr J. Weston-Evan’s Prince Tudor was ridden by W. Rickaby and trained by J. Langley. Mr J. McGrath’s Time Greine is trained by S. McGrath in Ireland. Rockavon won by two lengths and there was a short head between second and third. Twenty horses started in the mile race for three-year-olds, the total stakes for which were £26,420. The winner’s time was Imin 39 4-ssec.
