THE POSITION: The position offered is that of Territory Supervisor and calls for an absolute Top Flight Sales Executive with proven sales ability and a desire to learn and progress with a rapidly expanding progressive wholesale organisation. THE COMPANY: Grocers* United Stores, Limited, is a well-established and well-known Canterbury Company with extensive interests in grocery, hardware, drapery, and pharmaceuticals. It is the largest single wholesaler in the South Island and the third largest company of its kind in New Zealand and has been, and still is, making rapid progress in all spheres of its activities. This position therefore presents a unique opportunity tor someone seeking a top executive position to join a well-established leader in the field of wholesale distribution. THE DUTIES: (a) Plan and promote a continuous sales programme to expand the Company's outlets in all areas. (b) Organise and conduct a regular contact service with existing outlets designed to develop full and complete liaison between the Company and its members. (c) Study and learn modern merchandising methods in order to be able to organise and improve the results at retail level by organised support of the Company's advertising, modernising and merchandising programme.
