CLOTHING FOR INFANTS

Cathedral Tree Gifts Clothing for babies and small children will be knitted by women members of the Friends of the Christchurch Cathedral Association as gifts for the Cathedral Christmas tree. This was decided at a recent meeting of the association. in support of a suggestion made by Mrs N. J. Stone. The garments will be sent overseas with the toys and money from the tree for sick and undernourished children. The Dean of Christchurch (the , Very Rev. Martin Sullivan) said he would place a large bin or table at the foot of the Christmas tree for the garments. For some years a small group of women has made dolls’ clothes as gifts, but it was felt that this idea could be developed into something more practical.
