PLEASANT POINT SALE
Finn Demand For Store Sheep There was a large yarding of fat sheep, which Included quite a few pens of quality wethers and ewes, at Wednesday's Pleasant Point sale. There was a keen demand from the outset of the sale, and values appreciated by 3s to «s a head. The penning of store sheep was also a large one, comprising mainly wether and ewe lambs. Although the offering was auctioned under very adverse conditions, the large number of farmers present held values to a high level throughout the sale. Fat cattle were not offered in quotable numbers Values were:— Fat Sheep.—Prime wethers, 65s to 85s; light to medium wethers, 49s Id to 61s lOd. Prime ewes, 32s Id to 37s Id; light to medium ewes, 23s Id to 27s lOd.
Store Sheep—Romney and Romney cross ewe lambs, wether lambs (wool). 30s to 455: wether lambs (shorn), 27s to 435; rape ewes to 225: full add failingmouth ewes to 50s.
