FISHING FOR WORKERS
Purchase By Rolls Royce (Special Crspdt N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, April 26. Rolls Royce, Ltd., has bought for £3OOO a 625-yard strip of salmon fishing on the River Severn for the use of the many enthusiastic anglers among its workers at Shrewsbury. “It might be considered expensive but not to someone with a Rolls Royce mentality.” said the fishing club secretary. “Our fishing club members couldn't afford to buy the fishing nut after all £3OOO is considerably less than the price of one Rolls. “Some of our members get up early for a couple of hours fishing before changing into their overalls and reporting for work. We now have a perfect stretch for just a few coppers subscription weekly."
