CEREBAL PALSY ASSOCIATION
Rent-Free House As Holiday Home Negotiations to obtain a house rent-free for families with cerebal palsied children as a short-stay holiday home are being carried out. the president of the Cerebal Palsied Welfare Association (the Rev. L. V. Willing) says in his annual report. Mr Willing says that with the realisation that several groups are trying to serve the needs of the handicapped in Christchurch, comes the desire to co-ordinate so that no handicapped are left uncared for and so that the groups may have a stronger hand In seeking funds. Preliminary discussions with the Adult Cerebal Palsied Association on the possibility of closer co-oper-ation or even a merger have been attempted (hiring the year, he says. Mr Willing says the adult group, several years ago. felt a sense of frustration at the association's policy, formed a separate group, and began canvassing for funds. The present move is because a need is felt of drawing all cerebal palsied persons and their parents closer together.
