Jets For Christchurch
Sir, —The paucity of the attendance at the public meeting recently convened with the object of endeavouring to have Harewood airfield brought up to jet standard by extending the main instrument runway and providing relative technical equipment, shows that the community at large, except for some 250. persons, are satisfied to allow the decision as to the location of New Zealand's international airport to continue to remain in the competent hands of the Director of Civil Aviation.—Yours, etc., ANALYSIS. April 24, 1961.
