Singer’s Condition Serious !N.Z P.A.-Re»ite»—Cnnvright) SYDNEY, April 26. The American singer. Billy Daniels, collapsed shortly before he was due to appear in a Sydney nightclub last night. His agent said he had received blood transfusions for a perforated duodenal ulcer. His condition is serious. Daniels, whose record of "Old Black Magic” has sold a million copies, was carried on a stretcher from his hotel room to hospital and a specialist was called. His Australian agent Harry Miller, said Daniels had been taking tablets for a heart condition which prevented the blood from clotting.
