Australian Buyer The U. Scott horse, Highland Air, has been secured by an Australian studmaster and he will leave for his new home next month. Highland Air was a good winner in New Zealand and he gained 15 wins and 14 placings for £13.555 in stakes His wins included an Auckland Cup. Unfortunately, recurring soreness stopped him from showing his best form in recent years. Another seven horses have been inspected by the New Zealand Trotting Conference for shipment to Australia They include three yearlings, a two-year-old and a brood mare. Also Included in the shipment are Focal Point, a moderate winner when trained at Methven by C. V. May. He will race in Melbourne. Fredell, a half-brother by Young Charles to Battle Fling, is also to race in Melbourne, where he will be trained by A. Simons.
