DEVINE’S WIN
The Templeton trainer, C. C. Devine, had * successful first drive at Yonkers Raceway, New York, last week. False Step had thrived since his arrival in New York and he was delighted with his progress, said Devine in a letter to a friend in Christchurch. Mnch of the credit for False Step’s condition was due to A. Vassallo, who was in charge of the horse on the trip from Christchurch to New York, said Devine, who is hopeful that False Step win show something of his true ability when the first leg of the International pacing series is run on May
