French Ballet Duo To Tour
Two stars of the Paris Opera Ballet will tour New Zealand in September, according to the joint managing director of J. C. Williamson Theatres, Mr John McCallum. They are Claude Bessy-who Is “Danseuse Eteoile” with the company, and Attilia Labis. Miss Bessy has had a remarkable career and has starred in many notable productions in Paris. London, and the United States. She starred with Gene Kelly iu the film “lirtdtation a la Dense" During their New Zealand tour these dancers will be, accompanied by an orchestra and not by pianos as is usual in. this type of ballet production.
