Hope From Antarctica

Sir,—A typographical error completely altered the meaning of part of my letter as it appeared in “The Press” on April 18. The third sentence should read: "Occasional transport of New Zealand freight and personnel to the Antarctic by United States aircraft (a legal obligation, by the way, and not a ‘favour’) is a very small item compared with the indispensable facilities, and farreaching advantages which the Americans have secured from New Zealand.”—Yours, etc., F.C. April 22, 1961.
