TO that the Waimalri County Council, at a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, at 730 pan, on Thursday, April 28. I*6l. passed the following resolution: 1. That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the "Counties Act, 1*58." the "Local Authorities Loans Act. 1*66.” and all amendments thereto, and all other Acte (if any) enabling it in that behalf and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted at a meeting of the Board held on March M. 18*1. the Council resolved to proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan of £60.000 for the Wairarapa Riding for the purpose of purchasing land and constructing a road between Ham and Waimalri roads. 1. That such loan be known as the "Wairarapa Riding Land Purchase and Development Loan 19*1 of £60.000" (hereinafter catted "the said loan.") 3. That the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed ten years. A That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof, shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding four and seven-eighths pounds (£4 17s 6d) per centum per annum. S. That the said loan shall be repaid by annual redemption of debentures or stock. 8. That the payment of interest and the repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either Interest or principal shall be paid out of loan moneys. 7. That the rate payable for the brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one-half per cent, of any amount raised. A That no moneys shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of year* from March 9. That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of foe said loan and the charges thereon a Special rate of •320726 d (pence) in the £ (pound) on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable properties within the Wairarapa Riding. 16. That the form of security for the repayment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be my means of debentures of £lOO, £5OO, and £lOOO denomination, and Interest coupons in conformity with the "Local Authorities Loans Act. 1966." or by Registered Stock. REFUSE AND HAWKERS’ LICENCES PUBLIC NOTICE IB HEREBY GIVEN that the Waimalri County Council, at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose and held in the Council chambers, Fendalton, on the 30th day of April, 19*1. resolved by way of Special resolution to amend Clauses 57, 10* • and 110 ofthe waimalri County By-law, The Short Title of the proS>sed By-law is the “Waimalri □unty By-law, 1981 (No. 1)." the object and purport of such By-law being as follows: 1. REFUSE CHI OBJECTIDNABLE MATERIALS. CLAUSE 57—that the wording of this clause be amended by the addition of the follow words: — "or permit or suffer to be left.’ r 2. WITH RESPECT TO HAWKERS. (a) CLAUSE 10*—that the present clause be deleted in toto and a new clause substituted therefore providing "for a new form of application and annual licence fees as follows: For hawking perishable articles of food for human consumption £1 For hawking other goods £2 For travelling or mobile shops £l5 (b) CLAUSE 110—that this Clause be amended by deleting th* words "(3s) three shillings" and substituting therefore the words ff five shillings (55).” FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN that the said resolution will be submitted to th* Ordinary meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, on Thursday.
