SEA CADETS’ VISIT TO ENGLAND
Party Of 13 To Leave Tomorrow
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 6.
Twelve sea cadets and a sea cadet officer left Auckland for Wellington today on the start of a voyage to England, where they will attend a two weeks’ Empire training course at Portsmouth in July. The contingent, which includes four school cadets, will sail from Wellington in the Ruahine on Wednesday and will return in August. The cadets, whose average age is 17, will tour England before and after the course, which will be attended by representatives from all parts of the British Empire. The officer in charge of the party is Lieutenant C. A. Dallas, of the Wellington sea cadet unit. The trip is being sponsored by the Navy League.
