Golf Argentinian Wins Texas Tourney

May 5 Roberto De Vicenzo of Argentina, came from six strokes behind in the final 36 holes to win the 25,000-dollar Colonial national invitation eolf tournament today. After earlier rounds of 72 and 74. De Vicenzo today played the 7021vard Colonia! Coun*rv Club course in 2 under scratch 68 and then a scratch 70 for a 72-hole Ttal of 284. He won by one stroke from Dick Mayer, who had rounds of 71 72 07 75 Peter Thomson’s four-round total was 290 (72, 72, 76. 68) and he won 1116 dollars. De Vicenzo won 5000 dollars. Licensed Trade Tourney At the golf tournament of the Canterbury Licensed Trade, held recently, results were:—Best gross (visitors): J. G Scott, 74. 1—73. Best net (visitors): T. Smith, R 7. 19—68. Best net (members): L. J. Moorhouse, 82, 12—70; runner-up, L. E. Aspell, 96. 22—74.
