Alleged Unnatural Offences
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 6. Evidence that dossiers on homosexuals, found in his possession, were given to him for the purposes of research, was given by Cyril Ernie Richard Webber, aged 51, a company director, in the Supreme Court at Auckland today. Webber was giving evidence in the trial in which he is appearing on 12 counts of committing unnatural offences against males and two charges of indecent assault on males. The hearing is before Mr Justice T. A. Gresson and a jury. The case for the Crown is being
conducted by Mr Speight, and Mr Dickson and Mr Sanders represent the accused. The trial is expected to end tomorrow.
