COMET’S FLIGHT TO WEST COAST

Home Town

Lady McKee To See

Lady McKee’s only visit to Greymouth, her home town, will be when she views it from the air for four minutes today. Lady McKee will accompany her husband (Air Marshal Sir Andrew McKee) on the Comet’s flight over the West Coast this morning. Another passenger on the flight will be Mr Averill Gundry, who has been a patient of Burwood Hospital for the last seven years. Mr Gundry, who is now aged 24, was born a cripple. He is extremely interested in aircraft and wrote to Sir Andrew McKee asking if he could be a passenger on one of the Comet’s flights.

The Comet will leave Harewood at 10 o’clock, arrive at Westport at 10.29 a.m., and leave two and a half minutes later for Grey-

mouth, where it will arrive at 10.46 a.m. After four minutes over Greymouth, the Comet will fly to Hokitika, arriving at 10.57 a.m., and departing for Harewood at 11 o’clock. It is scheduled to touch down at Hare wood at 1120 a.m.
