FARMER CRUSHED BY TRACTOR
Fatal Topdressing
Accident
(New Zealand Press Association) DANNEVIRKE, May 5.
As the result of a tractor accident at Tiratu, seven miles from Dannevirke, yesterday, a farmer died in the Dannevirke Hospital at 5.40 last evening. He was Robert Campbell, aged 56. Mr Campbell was helping his nephew, Mr R. J. Farrell, spread fertiliser from a hopper mounted on the back of the tractor. The tractor skidded crossing a slope. The driver was thrown clear as the tractor rolled over, but Mr Campbell was crushed under the machine, ’and received multiple injuries. Mr Farrell was not severely injured.
