Mr Gair’s Supporters Form New Party
(N.Z. Press Association Copyright) (Rec. 7 p.m.) BRISBANE, May 4. The Queensland Labour Party was officially formed yesterday at a meeting of supporters of the State Premier (Mr Vincent Gair), who was recently expelled from the Australian Labour Party. Mr Gair said later that his party would contest 60 or more of the 75 State seats at the next election, which his supporters said was expected in September or October.
