The New Zealand-bred Watch Out brilliantly won the 12-furlong Terrace Handicap at Flemington yesterday, and emerged as a strong chance for next Saturday’s South Australian Jockey Club St. Leger at Morphettvllle. t . The grey showed stamina in scoring his first win since arriving in Australia about a year ago. Jockey W. Williamson told the trainer, D. McCormick, after dismounting: “You’d better take him to Adelaide. I reckon he’ll win.” Williamson allowed Watch Out plenty of time to settle down, hugged the rails until about half a mile from home, then made a run around the outside of the field and advanced from eighth to second place at the turn into thfe straight. Watch Out outstayed Match Play and Araleum to win by three-quarters of a lengh, with a length and a half between second and third. McCormick will also send the New Zealand-bred Harry Lime, which finished fourtenth at 100 to 1 in the Dover Handicap at Flemington yesterday, to race in minor events at the Adelaide carnival.
