SUPREME COURT’S CAMPAIGN
Australian Jockey Engaged (N.Z. Press Association .Copyright) BRISBANE, May 2 A. Tindall has agreed to ride the New Zealand sprinter Supreme Court in work when he arrives from Auckland about May 16. Tindall, a first-class horseman who has won races in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, is expected to ride the horse in the £lO,OOO Stradbroke Handicap on June 15, although the owner, Mr J. Sarten, will not decide on a rider till later in the month.
It seems certain, too, that Tindall will again ride for Ivan Tucker, who is bringing the New Zealander stayer, Straight Lead, on the same ship as the trainer, V. Johnson, is bringing Supreme Court.
It will be Johnson’s first visit to Brisbane, but Tucker brought Rising Fast in 1954 and started off the winning run that culminated in Caulfield and Melbourne Cup successes.
