The White Heron
Sir.—The white heron has been reported from different districts on their annual flight. I possibly saw one on Tuesday morning leaving the reclamation ground at Lytr telton .in flight towards Governor’s Bay. It was evidently disturbed by the steamer express going astern. It was fully half a mile from where I was. but it had a ponderous undulating flight similar to a blue heron T can think of no other bird it could have been.—Yours, et<*.. „ OKARITA. May 2, 1957.
