THE FIRESTREAK, an air-to-air guided weapon designed by De Havilland Propellers, Ltd., accelerating rapidly immediately after launching at high altitude. This photograph was taken with a camera mounted on the wing of the parent aircraft. The Firestreak, which will go into production for the Royal Air Force, is a fighter-borne rocket and relies on an infra-red or heat-seeking device to lead it on to its target.
